GOAL Jersey Day!

The annual GOAL Jersey Day was held on the 9th of October. We all dressed up in different jerseys of our favourite team! We assembled at the front gate of our school and walked a mile in aid of the charity goal. Each child donated €2 on the day and the total was donated to GOAL! It really is a fantastic charity. We all enjoyed wearing our jerseys but we didn't realise exactly how long a mile was!

Junior Entrepreneur Programme

Since Christmas we have been partaking in the Junior Entrepreneur project. As part of this project we had to set up a business. First we had to come up with some ideas! We then had to pitch our ideas to the dragons! 

While they were impressed with all of our ideas they thought that the Bang Bags were the most suitable business idea. Mr Bang was too attractive to turn down!

Unfortunately that was only the beginning of the hard work! We were split into teams. Each team was responsible for a different aspect of the business. Each group had to work together to make sure our idea became a success. 

Making the bags was the first big challenge. With a lot of practice, patience and perseverance we managed to master the technique. Both the Design and Production Team and the Marketing Team had to work together to make the product more attractive. I think they succeeded but what do you think? 


The Finance Team had to insure that we would make a profit, while not compromising on the quality of the product. 

Once production was well under way the Sales Team could start selling. What a feeling when we made our first sale! 

From there there was no stopping us. Our next big mile stone was organising our Showcase Day. We had a great turn out and the Story Telling Team did a great job presenting their slideshows to the audience. 




We will put our profits towards the cost of a really good school tour. All that hard work has payed off!
